Pay Contactless (CARD OR DEVICE) with SwipeOnLake
SwipeOnLake is the new way to access and purchase ASF tickets for the City of Como.
In fact, it is possible to use your credit, debit, prepaid card, smartphone and contactless payment-enabled wearables to travel on ASF Autolinee Como’s Urban Area service.
How to use
Urban area:
simply approach your contactless card “tap” on the green validator on board vehicles in the City of Como.
The system displays a “tap” confirmation message and an audible signal. The device does not print a paper receipt. Please note that if the validator’s visual signal is “red,” followed by an error message on the screen, the card is not validated by the system. In this case the user should purchase the ticket by the driver with a small surcharge. The 90min. Urban Area fare comes for €2.50.
You can buy extra tickets for those traveling with you: for 5 minutes after the first tap you can pay for other tickets just tapping on the green validator.
At each bus change please “TAP” on the green validator, at the end of the day, (at 24:00) the system calculates the best fare. After the 3rd tap in the day (out the 90’ time for each) you’ll only be charge for 5 euro that is the daily Urban Area ticket.
Traveler's Portal
By registering with the Traveler’s Portal, it is possible to view the list of payments you made, and to receive an email notification at each “Swipe” made with date, time, information about the purchased ticket and the fare paid, and make payment of any outstanding amounts to restore the card.
Fares that you can purchase with a contactless card
Urban lines:
The contactless system applies the Urban Area Simple Run fare with a duration of 90 min. equal to €2.00.
If during the day, from the first tap until 24:00, you tap 3 taps with the same contactless card 91 min. (out of the 90’ for each), the system applies the best fare, charging €5.00 that is the payment of a Daily Urban Area Ticket in Como.
The Urban Area Ticket wit this ticket (until midnight) you can travel in the municipalities of: Como, Maslianico, Cernobbio, Casnate con Bernate, San Fermo della Battaglia, Senna Comasco, Navedano with all ASF vehicles of the urban service.
Suburban Lines:
With SwipeOnLake you can buy tickets on board, without surcharge: you just need to approach your contactless card (tap) to the green validator (VPE) on board.

The system, according to the specific line, will apply the fare and the amount shown in the above table.
The device will not issue a paper receipt.
Please note that, in case of red light followed by an error message on the screen, the card has not been validated; in this case you need to purchase the ticket on board with an extra charge of Euro1.40.
Please note that the actual calculation and charging of the service takes place a few days after using the service.

The ticket purchased with Contactless Card for the routes shown in this table is valid for the duration of the single trip.
Always use the same device or contactless card to touch in, this will make sure you pay the right fare, currently there’s no need to touch out when leaving.
