Get on board and seize the opportunity
ASF Autolinee has for years been a benchmark for Local Public Passenger Transport in Como and Province. The company’s share capital is 51 percent held by S.P.T. Holding S.p.A. while 49 percent is held by Omnibus Partecipazioni. “Get on board, seize the opportunity!” is the slogan of the Asf Autolinee-Enaip partnership, which aims to solve the problem of staff recruitment with an innovative approach and in ways that focus on the individual and quality training. The new course will start in October 2024 in Como, preceded by two dedicated Open Days, and aims to train 15 new drivers: in particular, 5 driver candidates are sought for Menaggio, 5 for Bellagio and 5 for other suburban lines .
Therefore, it was decided to invest and entrust the Enaip Partner with the development of the training plan for this professional figure, articulated in the two actions below:
- The road transport of passengers by public transport (130 hours);
- Driver Empowerment: the evolution of the industry, the territory, the ASF company, the enhancement of the human factor
Requirements
The following basic requirements have been identified to enter the ASF Academy project:
- Be unemployed at the start of the course
- Age from 21 years old
- Possession of a B driver’s license or higher
- Domicile in the Province of Como
- Good knowledge and command of the Italian language
- Educational qualification: middle school degree (high school degree preferred)
- Psychophysical fitness for obtaining a driver’s license to transport people
The contract
The new element, compared to the past, is the driver candidate’s immediate contractual placement, prior to the start of the course. This is a fixed-term contract of six months, for 20 hours per week, from 750 euros per month (with accrual of thirteenth and fourteenth month), supplemented by meal vouchers of 9 euros per day, a full attendance allowance of 5.00 euros and a free season ticket on the entire ASF Autolinee network.
